About the Opportunity:
Join a dynamic dental practice as a Dental Hygienist, where you provide essential support to the dental office team. This part-time contract position focuses on preventive oral health care, with a commitment to delivering exceptional care in a supportive environment. The estimated base pay for these positions are $24.75 to $29.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
- Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
- Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
- Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
- Support the hygienist with patient scheduling, treatment recommendations, and office recall systems.
- Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations, including HIPAA & OSHA.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six (6) hour X-ray training certification.
- BLS certification.
- Prior dental assisting experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
- Associate's Degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).
