About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) involves providing anesthesia care to adult patients. The role requires delivering general adult anesthesia, handling obstetrical cases, managing pain, and overseeing ventilation management. In addition, responsibilities include evaluating and managing acute volume and blood pressure issues and supervising CRNA activities. Support staff consists of 18 CRNAs and 5 anesthesiologists within a care team model. The work environment averages 30 cases per day. EMR documentation is conducted through the Epic system.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $179.85 to $212.55 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create anesthesia care plans for adult patients.
- Provide anesthesia for general adult and obstetrical cases.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists in a care team to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using the Epic EMR system.
- Stay informed on best practices in pain and ventilation management.
Job Requirements:
- NBCRNA certification required.
- South Carolina state licensure required.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing general adult anesthesia care.
- Proficiency in managing obstetrical cases and acute medical situations preferred.
- A clean background is mandatory.
- Vaccines for MMR, flu, and varicella required.
