About the Opportunity:
The Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in the Float Pool provides anesthesia care for diverse patient populations at a hospital setting with different departments, including general, ortho, gyn, ent/eyes, vascular, thoracic, heart, neuro, and trauma. This is a full-time contract position requiring flexibility to work 5×8 shifts with a schedule from 7 AM to 3 PM, primarily on high-priority Monday and Friday shifts. Providers must float between locations, with Moses Cone as the main location. The role involves delivering anesthetic care, coordinating with medical staff, and utilizing specialized equipment such as Drager anesthesia machines and Philips monitoring systems.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $154.00 to $182.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive anesthesia assessments and care plans for surgical patients.
- Providing anesthesia care across multiple specialties including ortho, vascular, and neuro.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitoring and documenting patient response to anesthesia during and after surgical procedures.
- Staying informed on the latest anesthesia techniques and technologies.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification: CRNA required.
- State license required: State of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in anesthesia, excluding new graduates.
- ACLS and PALS certifications required.
- Skills preferred in hearts/vascular, neuro, and pediatrics, but not required for hearts and lungs at Cone.
