About the Opportunity:
This is a part-time contract position for a physician providing hematology/medical oncology services in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, creating care plans, and providing medical oncology and hematology treatment. The physician works with adult and geriatric patients, managing an average of 12-16 patients per day, and performs procedures such as bone marrow biopsies. This role requires hospital and clinic privileges within the same building, offering a unique and collaborative environment.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $354.26 to $418.67 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create detailed care plans.
- Provide hematology and medical oncology treatments, including bone marrow biopsy procedures.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care effectively.
- Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes through electronic medical records (EMR) using EPIC.
Job Requirements:
- Must have relevant certifications, including AK DEA, BLS, ACLS, or PALS.
- Minimum requirement includes 24 months of case logs representing scope and complexity of privileges requested.
- Strong proficiency with EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
