About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract opportunity offers the role of providing hematology and medical oncology services in an outpatient setting to adult and geriatric patients. Physicians handle an average of 12-16 patients per day, conducting bone marrow biopsies and managing infusion services. Both hospital and clinic privileges are necessary as they are located within the same building. This position requires solo work with a focus on detailed case logs for the past 24 months, documenting provision of services representative of requested privileges.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $334.40 to $395.20 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform hematology and medical oncology assessments and create care plans.
- Provide bone marrow biopsy procedures and manage infusion services.
- Document patient progress thoroughly and accurately.
- Stay informed on current research and practices in oncology and hematology.
Job Requirements:
- Doctorate in Medicine (MD or DO) with a completed oncology/hematology training program.
- Active medical license and DEA registration in Alaska.
- BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification.
- Experience in outpatient and hospital settings, focusing on adult and geriatric patient care.
