About the Opportunity:
This contract position offers the opportunity for a Physician specializing in Cardiology, specifically Electrophysiology (EP), to provide both inpatient and outpatient services at a medical facility. The role includes conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and performing necessary procedures such as inpatient pacemaker implantation and DCCV Cardioversion. The position involves 8-hour shifts over 3-4 days of clinic with adjacent weekend call 1-2 times per month. Additional responsibilities include weekend EP call and potential EP lab days, dependent on candidate suitability.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $279.84 to $330.72 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans targeting cardiac electrophysiology needs.
- Provide patient care for procedures such as inpatient pacemaker implantation and DCCV Cardioversion.
- Collaborate with interventional and general cardiologists on call during weekends.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Stay informed on current practices and research in cardiac electrophysiology.
Job Requirements:
- BLS/ACLS certification and Board Certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in active cardiology practice.
- Demonstrated experience with 100 inpatients and 30 electrophysiology cases in the past 24 months.
- Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical records system.
- COVID-19 vaccine required without exemptions.
