About the Opportunity:
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse position in San Francisco, CA provides specialized care to pediatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. This full-time contract role involves responsibilities such as pre-op and post-anesthesia care, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining detailed patient records.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $57.75 to $68.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating tailored care plans for pediatric cardiac patients.
- Providing and monitoring procedural sedation and managing post-procedure recovery.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists and anesthesiologists, to coordinate optimal patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress, responding to emergency situations, and administering medications as required.
- Staying informed on current practices in pediatric/congenital heart conditions and interventional treatments.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric/congenital heart setting, including cath/EP lab experience.
- Preferred experience in PICU/PACU.
- Proficient in using Epic charting system.
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed.
