About the Opportunity:
This contract position for an RN in the Cath Lab focuses on providing mechanical and electrical diagnoses and interventions for cardiac patients. The role involves caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a variety of conditions within the Cath and EP labs. The comprehensive program includes pre- and post-procedural care and emphasizes excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction through collaboration among registered nursing staff and cardiovascular technologists. This is a full-time contract position available for schedules of preference for 36 hours per week, with options for 4×10 or 3×12 hour shifts (7am-5:30pm; 7am-7:30pm), and includes weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit needs.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $63.25 to $74.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for cardiac patients.
- Provide specific types of therapy and interventions related to cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care for cardiac patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress within the Cath Lab.
- Stay informed on cardiac research and technological advancements.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab settings.
- Moderate sedation training and dysrhythmia/telemetry experience.
- Must have experience with TAVR, Microclip, and Watchmen.
- Experience in Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, and Vascular Interventions.
- Mechanical Circulatory Support Experience: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD.
- Critical care or cardiac experience required.
- Preferred: Cardiovascular certified or RCES, familiar with device and ablation procedures.
