About the Opportunity:
Join the Cardiac OR team as a Circulator Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This full-time contract position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including those undergoing CABGs, TAVIs, and heart failure interventions such as VADs, ECMO, artificial heart support, and heart transplants. Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients across all ages. Independently function as an RN circulator for complex adult cardiac procedures, including CABGs, structural heart cases (such as Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (Impella). Experience in heart transplants is preferred.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $57.75 to $68.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for cardiac surgical patients.
- Provide perioperative care, including monitoring and supporting patients during surgery.
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to surgery.
- Stay informed on current practices in cardiac surgical care.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Two (2) years of experience in the operating room.
- BLS and ACLS Certifications (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Experience in a level 1 trauma operating room is preferred.
- Ability to circulate during surgical procedures.
