About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position provides comprehensive care and support to residents in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral care. The CNA monitors and records vital signs, supports resident mobility, assists in ambulation activities, and provides nutritional support and hydration. Other duties include preparing residents for daily activities, assisting with admissions, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct personal care assessments and support activities.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living including mobility, hygiene, and feeding.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor and document resident progress and vital signs.
- Participate in the bladder and bowel management program and document outcomes.
- Report changes in resident behavior or physical condition promptly.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Completion of at least 100 hours from a New York State approved residential Health Care Facility nursing assistant training program.
- New York Nurse Aide Certification and listing in New York State RHCF Nurse Aide Registry.
- Long Term Care experience preferred.
- Compassionate communication skills and understanding of skin breakdown prevention.
