About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a CVOR RN providing specialized perioperative care to adult patients. This full-time contract position involves assisting with cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficient operation room management. You work two 10-hour shifts per week with on-call responsibilities of up to 7 days in a four-week schedule, including one full weekend.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.99 to $63.81 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting preoperative and postoperative patient assessments and creating tailored care plans.
- Providing necessary perioperative care and direct assistance during cardiovascular surgeries.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress throughout the surgical process.
- Staying informed on the latest practices and technologies in cardiovascular surgical care.
Job Requirements:
- Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate's degree.
- 1+ years of experience working in cardiovascular operating room settings.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Proficiency in EPIC and Omnicell systems.
