About the Opportunity
We offer a contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), focusing on delivering exceptional care to adult patients. This full-time role involves working two 10-hour shifts per week with on-call requirements up to 7 days per four-week schedule, inclusive of one full weekend. Our CVOR features 2 beds, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, and caters to patients with common diagnoses such as CAD, AS, and MR. Floating may occur if census is low.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.99 to $63.81 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating individualized care plans for CVOR patients.
- Providing perioperative care and education specific to cardiovascular procedures.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress accurately and effectively.
- Staying informed on the latest research and practices in cardiovascular operating room procedures.
Job Requirements
- Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate's degree.
- 1+ years of experience in a relevant setting.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
- Experience with EPIC and Omnicell technology.
