About the Opportunity:
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) position in Utica, NY, involves providing acute care to patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. This full-time contract position demands attention to newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
- Provide treatments and administer medications such as Pressors, Vasodilators, Anti-arrhythmics, and Sedation medications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient progress and document changes promptly.
- Stay informed about the latest practices and research in emergency medicine.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications.
- Active NY RN License verified through NURSYS Report.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with pediatric experience.
- Travel experience and current EMR proficiency with EPIC.
- High capability in charge responsibilities is highly preferred.
