About the Opportunity:
The RN in the Emergency Department provides direct patient care in a fast-paced setting, ensuring emergency care for a diverse patient population. This is a full-time contract position where you handle patient diagnosis such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient and effective patient care while working with specialty equipment like the Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. Floating between units is required.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for emergency patients.
- Providing high-quality nursing care in the emergency setting.
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and response to treatment.
- Staying informed on emergency care best practices and new protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Current NY RN license with active status.
- 3+ years of experience in the Emergency Department with some pediatric experience.
- Travel experience required.
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Experience with EMR system EPIC.
- Up-to-date resume with documented relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license with matching demographic address.
