About the Opportunity:
In this role as a Neuro Medicine ICU Registered Nurse, provide specialized nursing care for critically ill neuro patients in a medical/surgical intensive care unit. The focus includes managing patient diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies. This is a full-time contract position in a brand new state-of-the-art, 12-bed ICU.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $50.60 to $59.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for critically ill neuro patients.
- Provide specialized nursing care for neuro medical/surgical patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Stay informed on critical care and neuro patient management practices.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Two (2) years of RN experience in ICU acute care.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Telemetry experience required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
