About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for a Clinical Nurse in the Radiology Department. As a Clinical Nurse, provide safe and competent quality care to a designated group of patients, utilizing nursing theory and research. Responsibilities include delivering patient care using Relationship Centered Care, assessing and evaluating patient care needs, collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, prioritizing various aspects of patient care, educating patients and caregivers, and communicating effectively and professionally with patients and the care team.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $61.60 to $72.80 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and creating individualized care plans incorporating relevant nursing theories and evidence-based practice.
- Providing care and education on health promotion and disease prevention to patients and caregivers.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and outcomes, ensuring high-quality and safe care.
- Staying informed on best practices and implementing quality improvement strategies.
- Performing charge nurse duties and ensuring appropriate utilization of resources.
- Facilitating patient throughput and documenting in compliance with regulatory standards.
Job Requirements:
- NYS RN License and BLS, ACLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology with IV skills and radiation safety knowledge.
- Experience in cardiology and patient monitoring preferred.
- Skills in stress test performance preferred.
- EPIC experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; an Associate degree considered with relevant experience and/or BSN program matriculation.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
