About the Opportunity:
The RN, Nursing Education role focuses on delivering education and training across inpatient Maternal Child Health (L&D, NICU, MBU, Peds). This is a full-time contract position that requires strong labor and delivery skills with at least two years of experience. The nurse in this role supports education in labor and delivery, NICU, and postpartum care.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $69.17 to $81.74 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting educational assessments and creating training plans for staff in the L&D, NICU, and MBU departments.
- Providing education and support for labor and delivery and related care areas.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance care delivery through education.
- Monitoring and documenting educational progress and competency of nursing staff.
- Staying informed on best practices in maternal and child health education.
Job Requirements:
- New York State RN License.
- Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program.
- Minimum two years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
- Solid clinical background with two years of Med/Surg experience.
- Preferred strong background or Masters in Education.
