About the Opportunity:
Provide nursing education services for inpatient Maternity and Child Health, including Labor & Delivery (L&D), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Mother Baby Unit (MBU), and Pediatrics. This is a full-time contract position. Strong L&D skills are essential alongside a solid clinical background. The position focuses on supporting education for labor and delivery, NICU, and postpartum care.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $69.17 to $81.74 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational assessments and create care plans for nursing staff.
- Provide training and education focused on L&D, NICU, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate effective educational programs.
- Monitor and document the progress of educational initiatives.
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in nursing education and maternity care.
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program.
- New York State RN License.
- Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED).
- AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience.
- Strong clinical background.
- Masters in Education strongly preferred.
