About the Opportunity:
Join the team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology, providing expert care and support to patients across the spectrum of cancer treatment. As part of the float pool, you serve various UCSF facilities, ensuring comprehensive care and maintaining high standards of patient care. This is a full-time contract position with 8-hour day shifts and variable start times.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $52.25 to $61.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans for oncology patients.
- Provide chemotherapy and other related oncology treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and pharmacists, to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
- Stay informed on the latest oncology research and treatment protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in outpatient oncology settings.
- Experience with floating to different facilities required.
- Proficiency in Epic charting systems preferred.
- BSN degree required.
- Preferred additional certifications: ACLS, APHON, CHEMO (ONS/ONCC), CPHON, OCN, and PALS.
