About the Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in operating room (OR) duties in San Francisco, CA. The RN provides comprehensive care in a dynamic surgical setting, managing pre-operative and intra-operative processes for complex neurosurgery cases such as Neurovascular, Functional, Peripheral nerve, and Neuro-oncological specialties. This is a full-time contract position requiring flexibility to work 10-hour evening shifts and the ability to float to other facilities if needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare individualized care plans.
- Provide scrub and circulating assistance during neurosurgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate and timely charting.
- Stay informed on the latest practices and technology in surgical nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Valid CA RN License and BSN degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in scrubbing and circulating, with at least 2 years in neurosurgery.
- Previous travel assignment experience required.
- Certified in AHA BLS. ACLS and CNOR preferred.
- Proficiency in Epic charting system and strong communication skills.
