About the Opportunity:
Join the team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in Oakland, CA. This full-time contract position involves providing surgical care to pediatric patients in a multidisciplinary hospital setting. As a vital member of the surgical team, you carry out perioperative plans, implement surgical procedures, and support post-operative recovery. Availability spans Monday to Friday with occasional weekends. You float to other UCSF facilities as needed, adapting to various start times during the week to meet departmental demands.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and execute detailed perioperative care plans.
- Provide specialized surgical care and post-operative education to pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately using the Epic charting system.
- Stay informed on advancements in pediatric surgical care and trauma management.
Job Requirements:
- Current CA RN License.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- BLS and PALS certifications mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric general operating room settings.
- Experience in Trauma Level I and ability to manage complex surgical procedures.
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Previous charge experience and Epic charting expertise preferred.
- Experience in community and teaching hospital environments advantageous.
