About the Opportunity:
The OR Registered Nurse provides specialized care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. This full-time contract position requires flexibility to work 10-hour shifts with variable start times at 0645 or 0845. The schedule includes Monday to Friday with occasional weekends, and the ability to float to other facilities as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct surgical assessments and create care plans for pediatric patients.
- Provide care during different types of surgeries, including general, trauma, and cardiovascular operating rooms.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout surgical procedures.
- Stay informed on best practices in pediatric surgical nursing and integrated team approaches.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Pediatric General OR settings.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Experience with Trauma Level I hospitals required.
- Proficiency in Epic charting system.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
