About the Opportunity:
The RN, OR position in Oakland involves providing operating room nursing care to pediatric patients. This is a full-time contract position where nurses schedule 10-hour day shifts with variable start times (0645 or 0845) according to department needs. Work days are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Flexibility to float to other facilities is necessary.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $56.65 to $66.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pediatric general OR assessments and create care plans.
- Provide care in ambulation, CVOR, trauma, and general OR settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a range of services including Neurology, Ortho/Spine, Otolaryngology, and more.
- Monitor and document patient progress using Epic charting system.
- Stay informed on advances and best practices within the surgical disciplines.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License, BSN, BLS, PALS certifications required.
- A minimum of three years' experience in pediatric general OR settings.
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system required.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
- Preferred experience in Trauma Level II settings and community hospital environments.
