About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) setting. The RN provides quality patient care, assesses patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects, and ensures patient safety. The RN recognizes safety issues and implements the use of lifts to move patients safely. The nurse manages stressful situations and utilizes creative problem-solving skills.
The estimated base pay for this position is $53.71 to $63.47 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of the offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and creating care plans.
- Providing patient care in the OR setting.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Utilizing typical clinical equipment and instrumentation in providing a safe environment.
- Possessing lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
- Participating in preceptorship and assuming charge nurse duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current NYS RN license.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in OR or relevant settings.
- Experience with Meditech system preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
