About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pediatric Cardiac Care Center (PCCC). This full-time contract position engages in comprehensive, state-of-the-art diagnosis, medical/surgical treatment, and long-term follow-up care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with acquired and congenital cardiac conditions. Nurses in this role provide care to patients with complex or rare congenital cardiac disorders, contributing to the only pediatric cardiac care center in Western NY.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide specialized cardiac care therapy and education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians and cardiac specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress diligently.
- Stay informed on the latest pediatric cardiac care research and practices.
Job Requirements:
- Valid RN License (NY Only).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in pediatric cardiac care settings.
- Pediatric Cardiac Care experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association only).
- Proficiency in Telemetry.
