About the Opportunity:
This position presents a fulfilling opportunity to provide critical care nursing services to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). It is a full-time contract position, requiring night shifts of 12 hours. This role involves floating to other facilities as needed, ensuring comprehensive care across diverse healthcare settings.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $53.90 to $63.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) finalize at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide advanced care including end-tidal CO2 monitoring and ventilator management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy and respiratory services to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress with accuracy using Epic charting system.
- Stay informed on latest practices in acute pediatric care.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License, AHA BLS, and PALS certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of PICU experience.
- Preferred experience in Pediatric CVICU and Level 1 trauma center settings.
- Proficiency in managing central lines and arterial line management.
- Experience with Epic charting system required.
