About the Opportunity:
This Ophthalmic Technician position involves providing specialized eye care services to patients in a part-time capacity. The role requires assisting ophthalmologists during examinations and surgeries, performing diagnostic tests, and managing the clinical and administrative aspects of patient care.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $30.25 to $35.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct A-Scans and create care plans.
- Provide patient education related to eye care and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using electronic health records.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in ophthalmology.
Job Requirements:
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
- BLS certification required.
- Proficient in performing basic eye exams and diagnostic tests.
