About the Opportunity:
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Respiratory Therapist, focusing primarily on pediatric patients, including those in neonatal intensive care units (NICU). The role involves conducting respiratory therapy procedures, managing ventilator support, and assisting in high-risk deliveries. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $48.95 to $57.85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specialized assessments and create care plans for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients.
- Provide respiratory therapy using high frequency jet and oscillating ventilators.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Radiology, to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatments as necessary.
- Stay informed on the latest practices in pediatric critical care and NICU protocols.
Job Requirements:
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics, including ED.
- Level IV NICU experience mandatory.
- Experience with high frequency jet ventilator and oscillating ventilator required.
- NC RRT license must be in hand for immediate start.
- Experience with Epic charting systems required.
