About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract opportunity involves working as a Paramedic on the ALS Ground Team during night shifts. The role includes providing advanced life support care to patients, utilizing various practices and responding to emergency situations effectively. Paramedics perform varied activities across different patient populations and practices in accordance with the North Carolina Medical Board's scope of practice. This position requires recent experience in the back of/driving a truck.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $35.75 to $42.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create detailed care plans.
- Provide advanced emergency care and therapy to patients in prehospital settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including Basic Life Support EMTs, Clinical Nurses, and Respiratory Therapists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and timely.
- Stay informed on emergency medical practices and protocol adjustments.
Job Requirements:
- Certification as a North Carolina Paramedic or eligibility to obtain North Carolina certification.
- Holding BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP credentials; NC Class C driver's license or equivalent.
- High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum one year experience as an ALS Paramedic; preferred two to three years of experience in a 911 agency with moderate call volume.
- Skills in managing abnormal/normal vital signs, airway management, and emergency interventions.
