About the Opportunity:
A Patient Services Representative provides a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. The role involves supporting staff members and patients, answering phones, handling patient inquiries, making appointments, and assisting with care plans through financial arrangements. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $17.05 to $20.15 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct customer service by acknowledging and greeting patients upon arrival/dismissal.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
- Maintain and confirm appointment books and follow up on no shows or cancellations.
- Register patients on the sign-in sheet and post charges and payments to patient accounts.
- Check voicemail on a daily basis and maintain a clean and friendly waiting area.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience answering telephones.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus.
