About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract opportunity for an Occupational Therapist in Therapy Rehab Outpatient services. The role involves providing specialized care to patients with hand injuries and post-operative orthopedic conditions. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, crafting custom orthoses, and developing therapeutic exercise programs. The role encompasses working primarily at the Mission Bay facility with the possibility to float to nearby facilities. The estimated base pay for these positions are $52.80 to $62.40 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create personalized care plans for patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.
- Provide therapy and education, including therapeutic exercise programs and manual therapy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using the Epic charting system.
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in hand therapy and rehabilitation.
Job Requirements:
- Active CA OT License.
- Certification in AHA BLS required.
- Preferred certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and AOTA Hand/UE certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar setting, with experience in hand clinics and adult outpatient care preferred.
- Skills in adaptive equipment assessment, arthritis program management, dynamic splints, and kinesiotaping.
