About the Opportunity
Our client is a prestigious law firm that is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Corporate Governance Paralegal to join their team in Manhattan, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing corporate records, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and facilitating board and committee activities. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to effectively juggle multiple responsibilities.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in managing corporate governance litigation (shareholder, board disputes, etc.)
- Prepare, format, and verify legal documents with blue booking standards (pleadings, motions, discovery responses)
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
- Organize and maintain case files, including evidence and discovery materials
- Assist in trial preparation, including creating exhibits and deposition summaries
Job Requirements
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience
- years of experience in corporate governance litigation
- Proficient in blue booking (drafting, editing, formatting legal documents)
- Strong understanding of corporate governance laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills
