About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract position for a Patient Services Representative involves providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The role includes supporting staff members and patients by answering phones, handling patient inquiries, making appointments, and assisting with the completion of patient treatment plans through financial arrangements. Flexibility in handling requests and projects from other staff and/or the Office Manager is also part of the responsibilities.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $13.75 to $16.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
- Maintain and confirm the appointment book.
- Follow up on no shows and cancellations of appointments.
- Register patients and manage sign-in sheets.
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
- Check voicemail daily and maintain a clean and friendly waiting area.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Experience in answering telephones.
- Preferred experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office.
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) preferred.
