About the Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in consumer goods, is seeking a Consolidations Manager to join their finance team in New York City. This high-impact role will support the monthly global financial consolidation process, drive efficiencies, and collaborate with local and divisional finance teams in a large-scale, publicly traded environment. The position also offers visibility to senior leadership and regular partnership with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the monthly global financial consolidation, including preparation and review of consolidated financial statements
- Conduct quarterly analytical reviews, identify drivers of financial fluctuations, and streamline data collection and reporting
- Collaborate with local and divisional finance teams to implement more efficient and effective accounting and reporting processes
- Liaise with external auditors regarding financial statement analysis and fluctuation inquiries
- Contribute to the performance and testing of Sarbanes-Oxley controls around financial accounting and close processes
- Assist in drafting sections of Audit Committee communications and other quarterly reporting deliverables
- Respond to ad hoc requests from senior management and contribute to various special projects
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
- 6–8 years of business experience, ideally with a blend of public accounting (Big 4) and large public company experience
- Background in public company reporting and quarterly/annual close
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; technical accounting proficiency
- Experience with MS Excel/Word; experience with Workiva and Hyperion is a plus
- Creative, flexible, and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to work effectively across all levels of finance and operations
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a demonstrated team player
