About the Opportunity:
The Dietician provides medical nutrition therapy to inpatients in specialized areas, including the ICU, transplant, critical care, diabetes, GI, nutrition support, and cardiology. This role involves conducting assessments, documentation, implementation, monitoring, education, and reassessment of care plans, as well as patient education and malnutrition assessments. This is a full-time contract position, encompassing 8-hour daytime shifts scheduled 5 days per week, with rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $46.75 to $55.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting nutritional assessments and creating care plans for inpatient care.
- Providing patient education on nutritional therapy and dietary modifications.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and response to dietary interventions.
- Staying informed on the latest nutrition-focused physical examination methods and malnutrition assessments.
Job Requirements:
- Registered Dietician (RD/RDN) certification.
- At least 1 year of experience with various patient populations.
- Preferable experience in organ transplant and ICU settings.
- Proficiency in the Epic charting system is required.
- Skills in nutrition therapy complications, development of treatment plans, and therapeutic diet orders.
