SEC Reporting Senior Analyst

About the Opportunity

Our client, a private equity-backed portfolio company, is seeking an SEC Reporting Senior Analyst to join their finance team in Greenwich, CT. This is a unique opportunity for professionals seeking hands-on experience across complex U.S. GAAP, sophisticated SEC filings, and transaction-driven reporting, all within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Compensation is highly competitive, with additional performance and equity incentives.

The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $140,000, with total compensation up to $200,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and supporting US GAAP financial statements
  • Lead the preparation of management reports, financial disclosures, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Perform technical accounting research and assessments, supporting implementation of new accounting standards
  • Manage periodic consolidations, including variable interest entities (VIEs), intercompany eliminations, and cash flow reporting
  • Monitor, research, and apply relevant US GAAP and SEC guidance to evolving reporting requirements
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and the parent company to meet critical reporting deadlines
  • Support external audits and regulatory reviews through thorough workpaper preparation and documentation
  • Produce financial statement analytics and implement disclosure checklist compliance processes

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA (or progress toward) strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting with SEC filer exposure
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC rules, and reporting requirements; ability to analyze complex transactions
  • Experience with consolidations, VIEs, and intercompany eliminations highly valued
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; Workiva (Wdesk) experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Essbase, and Hyperion a plus
