About the Opportunity:
Provide pulmonary care services in an outpatient setting on a part-time contract basis. You work primarily with adult and geriatric patients, focusing on diagnosing and managing conditions related to pulmonary health. This position involves working solo with no rounding or call requirement. Clinic hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, one week per month initially, then one week every other month or quarter.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $182.88 to $216.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients with pulmonary conditions.
- Educate patients on managing pulmonary diseases.
- Collaborate with family medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, ob-gyn, pediatrics, and 24/7 hospitalist and ED physicians when necessary.
- Monitor and document patient progress using EPIC EMR.
- Stay informed on the latest practices and research in pulmonary care.
Job Requirements:
- MD/DO with a specialty in pulmonary care.
- BLS certification required, obtained through AHA or American Red Cross.
- Proficient user of the EPIC EMR system.
- Documentation of provision of cardiovascular disease services during the previous 24 months preferred.
- Open to licensing; AK license and/or IMLC strongly preferred.
