About the Opportunity
Our client is a prominent organization that provides health, pension, and other essential benefits to almost 100,000 workers in New York City. They are in search of a proficient Clinical Informatics Analyst (RN) to deliver informatics analysis and support in the use of clinical information systems. This includes, but is not limited to, clinical systems workflow assessment and design, as well as design, build, and deployment of system enhancements and modifications.
The annual base salary range is $95,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Document current and future state clinical, operational, and information systems workflows
- Analyze, configure, implement, and support new products and approved system optimizations
- Lead collaboration and discovery sessions with clinicians when designing, implementing, and maintaining Cerner and ancillary clinical applications
- Document, analyze, recommend, and assist with implementing system enhancements, improved processes, and workflows
- Participate in the formulation of new or revised policies and procedures related to clinical applications
- Creation and maintenance of workflow diagrams, dictionaries, and test scripts
- Provide specifications for the preparation and design of ad hoc reports to meet reporting needs
- Apply insights and a variety of analytical techniques to conceive process improvements and develop effective solutions to operational issues
- Analyze requests for new reports and mPages, and make recommendations related to best practices ? Manage, monitor, and initiate clinical information system vendor support cases
- Investigate and resolving Cerner application issues using core Cerner tools such as Olympus, Bedrock, Discern, Core Event
- Manager, among others
- Participate in Cerner application upgrades and implementations
- Debug system problems
- Works in lockstep with supervisory on all aspects of project development and keeps management informed of project status
Job Requirements
- BSN degree
- New York State RN license
- Comprehensive knowledge of Cerner Millennium ambulatory products and model workflows
- Cerner application configuration (basic dynamic documentation, Cerner command language (CCL), and comfortability with Olympus, Bedrock, Discern, Core Event Manager, among others) – Nice to have
- Microsoft Office Suite – Required
- Minimum four (4) years of IT experience in a complex health care environment, preferably in ambulatory care
- IT related experience that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run clinical and business systems
