Director of Operations

About the Opportunity

Our client is Brooklyn-based healthcare network that is in search of a hybrid Director of Operations to join their team in delivering high-quality services. This Director of Operations will provide leadership, communication and guidance to all physicians, advanced practice providers, area managers, practice supervisors and staff in a Nursing Home setting.

The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $155,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide positive leadership that inspires and motivates the team and focus their energy on a commitment to quality patient care and a commitment to each other
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates procedures
  • Collaborate with site leadership and staff to develop business strategy and aid in its implementation
  • Ensure proper staff scheduling and optimization
  • Monitor key performance indicators and analyze regional clinic operation trends in revenue, productivity, scheduling, appointments, labor use and patient flow to maximize provider performance, and to drive clinic operational and financial performance
  • Analyze and interpret operational reports and identify areas for improvement
  • Mentor, coach, and set expectations with site leadership and staff
  • Assist Area Managers/Practice Supervisors with the performance management cycle from interviewing, hiring, counseling, and terminating staff in partnership with HR
  • Conduct Area Managers/Practice Supervisor performance reviews
  • Assist Medical Directors with performance reviews for providers
  • Assist the Area Managers/Practice Supervisors in resolving patient issues
  • Financial Management
  • Assist with the preparation and communication of the annual budget
  • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers

 

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related major field, required
  • Healthcare operations experience, ideally within a Long-Term Care or Nursing Home Setting
  • Operations/Clinic Management experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience in organizational management with the ability to develop and implement program strategies
  • Track record of effectively leading a direct service organize with a complex array of programs; excellent project management skills
  • Ability to point to specific examples of having led organizational transformation projects and program development
