About the Opportunity
Our client is a prestigious New York City-based Financial Services firm that is looking for an Employee Relations Professional to add to their HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expertise to managers and HR Business Partners, with a focus on performance management, risk assessments, mitigation, firm culture, and employee transitions out of the firm. The firm reports 4 days in the office, with 1 day of remote flexibility. This role is perfect for someone excited to work with a small and talented team, while gaining plenty of exposure at a company that is a household name!
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Investigate employee relations concerns, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other work-related issues
- Recommend an appropriate resolution of internal concerns
- Prepare and review documentation, including interview notes and summary of findings
- Work closely with managers and HRBPs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of employment relations experience in a financial services firm
- Ability to commute to NYC four days a week
- Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse employee-related issues, concerns, situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect
- Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
- Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures
