About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our client’s healthcare team, with a primary focus on women’s health and primary care. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive and patient-centered care, demonstrating expertise in women’s health issues and a strong foundation in primary care practices. While experience in gynecology is preferred, they welcome applicants with a solid background in family medicine who are eager to expand their skills in women’s health.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, breast exams, and Pap smears
- Diagnose and treat common women’s health conditions, such as menstrual disorders, contraception management, and menopausal symptoms
- Provide preconception counseling and family planning services
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for patients
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribing appropriate medications and treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures, lifestyle modifications, and health maintenance practices
- Promote wellness and disease prevention through patient education and community outreach
- Foster open and empathetic communication with patients, addressing their concerns and providing emotional support
- Discuss treatment options, potential side effects, and involve patients in shared decision-making
Job Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (FNP program)
- Current state Nurse Practitioner license and national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Strong background in primary care, with a preference for experience in women’s health or gynecology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
