About the Opportunity
Our client in Nyack, New York is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in ICU or cardiac care to fill the role of a RN Quality Coordinator. This position focuses on ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery, analyzing clinical data, and implementing process improvements to drive excellence in patient care.
The annual base salary range is $85,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing quality assessments and audits within the ICU and cardiac care units to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
- Analyze clinical data and patient outcomes to identify trends, patterns, and areas in need of improvement
- Use data-driven insights to develop actionable strategies for enhancing patient safety and care quality
- Champion patient safety initiatives and programs within the ICU and cardiac care units
- Promote a culture of safety, error reporting, and transparency among staff
- Investigate adverse events, near misses, and root causes to prevent recurrences
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality assessments, initiatives, and outcomes
- Prepare and present reports to hospital administration and relevant committees on quality and patient safety matters
Job Requirements
- Current RN license in New York
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for ICU or cardiac care experience preferred
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and tools
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret clinical data
- A passion for patient safety and a commitment to enhancing the quality of patient care
- Proficiency in using healthcare information systems and data analysis software
