About the Opportunity
Our client in Morris County, New Jersey is currently starting a substance abuse disorder treatment program. They are seeking an experienced and passionate Substance Abuse Social Worker/Counselor Manager to assist in supervising the program!
The annual base salary range is $65,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to a team of social workers, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and ethical standards
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that promotes learning, growth, and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and provide ongoing training opportunities
- Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission and values
- Monitor program outcomes, assess the effectiveness of interventions, and implement improvements as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated care and integrated services for clients
- Review and approve clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, for accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
- Provide consultation on complex cases, offering insights and recommendations for effective intervention strategies
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for social work staff
- Support staff in addressing challenging cases and provide resources for continued education and skill enhancement
Job Requirements
- LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license in New Jersey required
- At least 5 years of psychiatric experience
- At least two years of supervisory experience as either a social worker, therapist, or counselor
- CADC or LCADC preferred, but not required
