About the Opportunity
Our client is a healthcare provider with multiple centers in New York City, Hudson Valley and all throughout Long Island. They are in search of a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner/Certified Nurse Midwife to join their team! They are looking for those with a strong passion for women’s health, with experience in fertility highly preferred.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $135,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Educate patients on infertility evaluations, medications, treatment protocols and procedures
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs
- Prescribe medications and issue prescriptions and treatments
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families.
- Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines
- Effectively identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues to provide comprehensive women’s health care throughout the lifespan, with an emphasis on reproductive, gynecologic, and family-centered health education while administering quality patient care
- Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of common gynecologic acute and chronic healthcare issues
- Educate patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs
- Record physical findings and formulate plan and prognosis based on patient’s condition
- Participate in outpatient and hospital call
Job Requirements
- Must be a registered Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife in the state of NY
- Previous experience as a nurse in a fertility practice or OB/GYN preferred
