About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position for a Food Service Worker in Bronxville, NY involves providing quality food service to patients. Responsibilities include setting up and serving patient trays, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, operating a dishwasher, preparing menu items, and assisting with catering setups as needed. The schedule requires working from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with weekend shifts and two available extra hours shifts from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $19.25 to $22.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures.
- Set up and serve patient trays according to schedule.
- Clean kitchen, dish room, and tray line areas; maintain a sanitary work environment.
- Work on the patient tray line with minimal errors.
- Operate a dishwasher to clean and sanitize all dishes and utensils.
- Prepare menu items in line with dietary requirements.
- Communicate potential problems to the supervisor for quality control.
- Prepare, load, and transport patient trays.
- Assist with catering set up for departmental functions.
- Handle trash and recyclables according to policies; transport to disposal area.
- Respond promptly to patient complaints and provide age-appropriate care.
- Care for and maintain department equipment and supplies.
- Report problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies to the supervisor.
- Attend mandatory in-services and meetings.
- Work assigned shifts based on department needs, including holidays and weekends.

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 6 months of food service experience.
- Ability to interact with patients and manage tray line setup and production.
- Capable of following oral and written instructions and established procedures.
