About the Opportunity:
This contract LPN/LVN position involves providing care to patients in a pediatric outpatient clinic setting. The role includes monitoring vital signs, medication reconciliation, and patient education tasks such as telephone triage and obtaining clean catch urine specimens. It requires assisting with phlebotomy, throat specimen collection, and recognizing signs of respiratory infections and other common conditions. This is a full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Friday, either 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., based on departmental needs.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $31.90 to $37.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial patient assessments and documentation.
- Providing education on medication and care routines.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and symptoms.
- Staying informed on the latest practices in pediatric healthcare.
Job Requirements:
- HS diploma/GED (required).
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program (required).
- Current NYS license & registration as LPN (required).
- Current AHA BLS certification (required).
- Knowledge in principles of infection control, performance improvement, and delegation.
- Epic charting system experience (preferred).
- Experience in outpatient clinic or urgent care, pediatric care is a plus.
