About the Opportunity:
Join the team as a Physician in Emergency Medicine, providing crucial emergency care to patients in a dynamic Level IV Trauma Center. This full-time contract position involves working two 12-hour shifts daily to manage patient care, collaborate with specialty back-up teams, and ensure high-quality outcomes. Candidates must be willing to work a mix of day and night shifts. The Emergency Department features 10 beds, with an annual volume of 11,000 visits. Collaborate with hospitalists, general surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, and podiatry specialties to provide comprehensive care.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $182.88 to $216.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments and creating treatment plans in emergency situations.
- Providing timely and effective emergency medical treatment to patients.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR.
- Staying informed on advancements in emergency medicine practices.
Job Requirements:
- ABEM certification required.
- Certifications needed: ACLS, ATLS, PALS.
- Experience in Emergency Medicine within a similar setting preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Texas candidates only for locums. IMLC accepted for licensure.
