About the Opportunity:
This position involves providing emergency medical care to patients in a Level IV trauma center. The role includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating urgent medical conditions, coordinating with specialty backup services, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This is a full-time contract position with a requirement to work 12-hour shifts from 6:30am-6:30pm or 6:30pm-6:30am.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $182.88 to $216.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments and creating care plans for emergency department patients.
- Providing life-saving interventions and treatments as needed.
- Collaborating with hospitalists, gastroenterologists, cardiologists, orthopedic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress using Meditech EMR.
- Staying informed on the latest emergency medicine protocols and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
- Active Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments managing multiple patients simultaneously.
