About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position requires providing obstetric and gynecological care in a collaborative environment with existing OB/GYNs, a Nurse Practitioner, and a Certified Nurse Midwife. Responsibilities include managing patient caseloads of 20-25 deliveries per month and collaborating within a Level II Nursery setting. The role involves state-of-the-art Labor, Delivery & Recovery (LDR) suites and private postpartum care, supported by a 24-hour on-site surgical team and anesthesia for epidurals. EMR documentation is conducted using Cerner.
The schedule is structured around clinic hours Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with dedicated OR block time on Monday and Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and a shared call model.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $169.81 to $200.69 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) finalize at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting obstetric assessments and creating care plans.
- Providing gynecological therapy and education.
- Collaborating with CNMs, pediatricians, and other advanced practice providers to coordinate care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress utilizing the Cerner EMR system.
- Staying informed on obstetric and gynecological practice and research.
Job Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of OB/GYN residency training (minimum five years surgical training).
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Eligible for unrestricted Illinois medical license.
- Current DEA registration.
- ACLS and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required within 6 months if not current).
- Proof of approved Fetal Monitoring Course attendance every 2 years.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
