About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract position for a Physician in Obstetrics is available to provide comprehensive OB care at a clinic in Macomb, IL. The role involves joining a team consisting of 2 OB/GYNs, 1 Nurse Practitioner, and 1 Certified Nurse Midwife. The physician cares for approximately 20-25 patients per day and assists in 20-25 deliveries a month. The facility features state-of-the-art Labor, Delivery & Recovery suites, private postpartum suites, an on-site surgical team, and 24-hour anesthesia support for epidurals. Collaborative care with Certified Nurse Midwives, pediatricians, and advanced practice providers is emphasized. The main OB provides backup pager support if needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $169.81 to $200.69 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments and creating comprehensive care plans.
- Providing maternal and prenatal care, including high-risk interventions.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate and deliver care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress using EMR (Cerner).
Job Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of OB/GYN residency training (minimum five years surgical training).
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Eligible for unrestricted Illinois medical license.
- Current DEA registration.
- ACLS and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months if not current.
- Attendance of an approved Fetal Monitoring Course every 2 years.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
