About the Opportunity:
Pulmonary Physicians provide outpatient services including comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. They work within a 0.25 FTE contract, attending to patients Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, without call responsibilities or hospital admissions. Physicians manage a patient load of approximately 14-16 patients per day.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $182.88 to $216.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pulmonary assessments and develop care plans tailored to adult and geriatric patients.
- Collaborate with family medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, and other specialties to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using the EPIC EMR system.
- Stay informed on advancements in pulmonary research and integrate best practices into patient care.
Job Requirements:
- MD/DO with a specialization in Pulmonary Medicine.
- Active AK license required at the time of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
- Proficiency in using the EPIC EMR system.
- Experience in providing cardiovascular services within the last 24 months or recent training completion.
