About the Opportunity
Our client, a global alternative investment platform, is seeking a Systems Engineer in Minneapolis to drive automation and infrastructure transformation across its hybrid cloud environment. This opportunity sits at the intersection of on-premises and cloud engineering, automation scripting, and modern DevOps practices, offering broad scope to upgrade, secure, and automate enterprise-wide systems.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- dminister and support virtualized infrastructure in global datacenters (VMware, Nutanix)
- Develop automation and tooling in PowerShell, including self-service applications and process orchestration
- Identify and automate repetitive, manual operational processes to scale delivery and reduce risk
- Deploy and support hybrid identity and security architecture (Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD)
- Manage Microsoft 365 applications and security tools, including Intune and Defender
- Provision Azure and AWS infrastructure programmatically using Terraform, integrated with Git
- Design, secure, and monitor network and VNet architectures across cloud and on-prem environments
- Build automation for onboarding/offboarding, temporary access, database refresh, and data sync processes
- Integrate with Jira, Slack, and SIEM tools for ticketing, logging, and alerting automation
- Establish and manage cloud-based file transfer and workflow automation, replacing legacy FTP systems
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Deep experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in enterprise environments
- Hands-on management of Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure, including provisioning via Terraform
- Experience supporting hybrid identity and access management, and security best practices
- Track record with Microsoft 365 administration and system integrations (Intune, Defender, Exchange, etc.)
- Demonstrated background building and integrating automation with REST APIs and workplace tools
- Solid collaboration skills and ability to support a fast-paced, cross-functional IT organization
