About the Opportunity
Our client, a global consulting firm in New York City, is seeking a Senior Manager / Director to lead technology and operational projects for the firm’s hedge fund and private credit clients. This is a senior strategic role that involves direct engagement with clients’ executive and operations teams, developing and evolving best practices, expanding the internal knowledge base, and representing the firm. This role requires travel when needed to client sites, both in New York City and occasionally in other states.
The annual base salary range is $162,000 to $210,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of end-to-end advisory and implementation engagements for hedge fund and private credit clients, including system selection, integration, and operating model design
- Serve as primary client advisor for all phases of SS&C Advent Geneva implementation, upgrade, and optimization projects
- Advise on middle- and back-office functions such as NAV production, shadow accounting, trade lifecycle, and investor reporting
- Assess and design technology ecosystems spanning portfolio and order management, data infrastructure, and treasury systems
- Collaborate with operations leadership, COOs, and CFOs at client organizations to deliver best-in-class operational solutions
- Support business development through proposal writing, client presentations, and expansion of existing relationships
- Develop practice infrastructure, reusable methodologies, and knowledge sharing across the hedge and private credit accounting team
- Work cross-functionally to shape multi-strategy and hybrid fund service offerings
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in hedge fund/credit operations, fund admin, or consulting within alternative investments
- Advanced practical experience implementing or supporting SS&C Advent Geneva (including account design, workflows, reconciliation, and reporting)
- Strong understanding of hedge fund operations, prime brokerage, NAV, and back-office accounting
- Demonstrated ability to lead and own client projects/relationships, with experience presenting to senior executives
- Familiarity with hedge fund technology, including OMS/EMS, treasury, investor portals, and data warehousing solutions
- Experience working with top fund administrators or prime brokerage operations
- Travel as needed
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to platforms such as EZE, Finbourne, Arcesium, WSO, Allvue, Broadridge, Clearwater, Bloomberg AIM, Enfusion, Flextrade, or similar
- Experience in management consulting/advisory, including structuring deliverables and problem-solving for clients
- Exposure to multi-strategy, quant, credit, or hybrid fund structures
- CPA, CFA, CAIA, or similar industry credentials
