About the Opportunity:
Provide specialized care to patients in the Med Surg unit as a Registered Nurse. This is a full-time contract position, requiring flexibility to float to Med/Surg and PCU as needed. The role involves conducting assessments, developing care plans, and supporting patient recovery. Work schedule includes 12-hour shifts, covering night duties from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with weekend, holiday, and call required.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and promptly.
- Stay informed on current nursing practices and research in Med Surg care.
- Possess the ability to provide quality patient care, assess patient needs, and recognize safety issues.
- Assume duties as a charge nurse when required.
Job Requirements:
- Current New York RN license.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- BLS certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum of 1 successful traveler assignment completed.
- Coronary Care experience.
- Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to function well in stressful situations.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
