About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Patient Coordinator at a dynamic ambulatory surgery center focused on patient care. This full-time contract position requires expertise in managing patient demographics, insurance information, collections, and appointment scheduling. Cross-training in multiple administrative support functions enhances the role's versatility.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $16.01 to $18.92 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Record patient demographics, insurance details, patient charges, and collections accurately.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering patient requests and provider availability.
- Verify and process patient charges and insurance information at check out, ensuring thorough accuracy.
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, making copies, and handling phone communications.
- Resolve work queue errors and denials in Epic through research and analysis, aiding in charge capture and claims processing.
- Create meaningful patient connections and provide clear, understandable explanations of processes through effective communication.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience within a healthcare setting.
- Experience with Epic and OnBase preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to handle challenging situations.
- Call center experience required, particularly using systems like Genesys and Epic.
- Must be computer savvy.
