About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract opportunity provides occupational therapy and rehabilitation care in an inpatient setting. The role involves conducting assessments, creating therapy plans, and implementing interventions for patients with various diagnoses including orthopedic, cardiac, neurologic, and general medical/surgical conditions.
Occupational therapists collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of quality care. The position requires providing patient and family education, equipment assessments, and participation in discharge planning.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $52.80 to $62.40 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create detailed care plans.
- Provide occupational therapy, including adaptive equipment evaluations and prosthetics fitting.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including interdisciplinary care teams, to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and modify therapy plans as necessary.
- Stay informed on current research and practices related to rehabilitation therapy.
Job Requirements:
- CA OT License
- AHA BLS Certification
- MS/MA Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum 1-year experience in inpatient rehabilitation
- Experience with IRF-PAI
- Preferred experience in acute care/hospital settings, including ICU and telemetry
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster
